Sanjay Pathmanathan is the creative force behind Celebrate Ceylon. His inspiration to start the brand was ignited by a deeply personal event—his proposal to his girlfriend. Both originally from Sri Lanka, Sanjay aimed to give her something that reflected her true essence—a strong, ambitious woman pursuing her PhD.
Motivated by a passion to share Sri Lanka's gemstone treasures with the world, Sanjay founded Celebrate Ceylon to bring the island's gemstone marvels to the Western audience. His ambition was to provide others the opportunity to enjoy similarly meaningful experiences by creating their own custom jewelry, crafted with meticulous attention to detail by artisans whose families have long been rooted in the jewelry trade.
